About Me
I was born March 24th, 2008. Today I am a happy, smiling baby girl. At my mom's 20 week ultrasound Mom and Dad found out that I would be born with a number of congenital heart defects. I was diagnosed with Transposition of the Great Arteries, two Atrial Septal Defects and 'Swiss Cheese' Ventricular Septal Defects. Translated this means that my pulmonary artery and aorta were switched and I had 5 holes in the walls of my heart. On April 1st, I had surgery to correct my heart. I spent 44 days at The Children's Hospital in Denver. Mom created this blog to archive my experiences in the weeks following my birth and to update family and friend as I grow to be a wonderful, happy child.
